4. Visit other hotels and restaurants in your community for ideas and inspiration on how you can improve your own

5. Encourage your employees and guests to provide feedback and monitor what is being said about the business online.

6. Adapt to technology by allowing guests the ability to book online and/or engaging in social media to reach your audience.

7. The customer is king - without a customer, you do not have a business.
